Answering An Atheist Evangelist: Why God Allows Satan's Existance

An example of how to address the rude question of an atheist evangelist. It's strange that some atheists want us to join them in their hopelessness.

I've always wondered why some atheists like to evangelize, wanting us to join them in their hopelessness. And sometimes I like to share these situations to show how we can handle them biblically.

What I'm sharing today is a comment left on Bible Love Note's You Tube channel by an atheist evangelist who had this statement on his profile: Bringing the Truth, even if no one is listening any more. I will not be silenced.”  Typically, it would be a Christian making such a statement, but this comes from an atheist.

In brackets I've included some comments and Scripture verses not in the original conversation.

Atheist Evangelist: Who is the All-Knowing, All-Present and All-Powerful Creator who created Satan? Be Truthful in your answer please. [Note how he starts this conversation in a condescending manner as if I would lie if he didn't ask me to be truthful.]

My reply: God created Satan. God gave him a choice. Satan chose to be evil.

You might say, why didn't God get rid of Satan?
God will. Satan will one day be thrown into Hell to burn for the rest of eternity because of his choice. [See Understanding Why Satan Has Power.]

God created you. God gave you a choice. You can choose evil by seeking to find reasons to accuse Him or you can choose to find out who He really is and know His love, forgiveness, and redemption. [See "Why Did God Create Man with the Ability to Sin?".]

You can go around putting self-righteous questions on social media as if your knowledge is the final verdict on God or you can seek to know Him and discover His purposes in your life.

The choice is 100% yours [Genesis 4:6-7; 1 Corinthians 10:13; James 1:13-15]. Rebel against God like Satan or follow God like Paul who once persecuted Christians like you are trying to do. I pray you make the right choice.

Atheist Evangelist: Oh dear, is your god Omniscient and Omnipotent or not? [Note that he didn't acknowledge my explanation but acted as if I didn't answer it. And he maintained his condescending attitude.]

My reply:  Do you know what those words mean? They mean all-knowing and all powerful. They don't mean all-manipulative.

God doesn’t force anyone to follow Him in our earthly lives, nor does he force them to be good. You have the free will to believe what you believe and He's not going to strike you dead for doing that. [see verses in brackets above.]

But when you die, if you continue in your beliefs, His omniscient and omnipotent character will send you to Hell which means He'll make no mistakes about who is a believer and who isn't and He'll have the power to do what He says He'll do.

So let me repeat what you must not have read in my first comment: He gives people choice. That way, people have no one to blame if they end up in Hell.

He doesn't want robots forced to love Him. He wants genuine believers. And if you think you look intelligent or right by being condescending and saying, be truthful or Oh dear,” you’re mistaken. You just look like you're close-minded and you're seeking arguments, not truth. But God gives you that choice.

Let's pray for this atheist evangelist and others like him.

If you were answering someone who was truly open or a fellow believer asking this question, you can offer the Scriptures in brackets and the suggested devotions, to include this one:
