God's "Yes Men"

Proverbs 3:5-6, Yes faith in a No world, Joseph
What if God gave you a plan for your future and not even your family believed it.

Then your circumstances made your plan impossible.

God sometimes does this to develop "yes faith" in our "no world" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Joseph is one example:

God gave him two dreams foretelling his future (Genesis 37). Then Joseph’s dreams became "impossible."

Picture him twenty years later, in prison, falsely convicted of rape, having spent half his life as a slave.

But when Pharaoh called him from his cell to interpret two dreams, Joseph said two dreams mean "the matter has been firmly decided by God…” (Genesis 41:32).

Betrayed, enslaved, imprisoned, he still trusted his two dreams would come true.

From teen to a middle-age, Joseph held on to his dream, trusting God, and doing his best in every situation.

He was one of God's "Yes Men"-- an example for all of us.

  1. One of my favorite stories! Thank you for shedding another light in it... Joseph really is a story of hope!

  2. Joseph's story is so heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. I often wonder how many of us could have endured what he did and kept the faith.
