I've been featured on Teagan's Travels.

Hi!  I'm Gail Burton Purath, and I started Bible Love Notes because my friend and sister, Vivian Burton Teumer, suggested I write devotions that were quick-reads and have them sent directly to people's email in-boxes.  I felt God's leading as well, and Bible Love Notes was born July 1, 2011.

Am I writing because I know it all?

No! I'm writing because I want to grow as a lover of Jesus and become more like Him. 

I've been a Christian for 36 years, and I don't know what I'd have done without Christ in my life all these years.  But I'm still a sinner, a learner, a student who falls down and disappoints God at times. In fact, writing Bible Love Notes helped me recover from a "crisis of faith."

I need to be challenged, encouraged, corrected and comforted, and I think you do as well...so let's learn together about the love of God--a love that is so vast that we will always be discovering new and wonderful things about it.

• I'm a wife to my best friend Michael for 42 years.
• Mom to 2 married children
• "Grammy" to 7 delightful munchkins
• Lover of Jesus and student of the Bible for 38 years
• Former Army wife
• Former homeschooler
• Former missionary to Budapest who returns for a few months each year
• Colorado girl living in the South
• Nomad (I've moved about 40 times in my life)
• Economy Traveler (love Eastern Europe)
• I never graduated from college, but I have a Masters from seminary 
• I started blogging by managing, editing and writing for a devotional blog called: WOW,Writing on the Word. 
• I have written for the Christian Women's Encouragement column and Charlotte Grandparenting column for Examiner.com. 
• I have two travel blogs that I write when I travel: Croatia and Budapest. 
• I've been published on Christian Devotions and Faithful Bloggers and Wives in Bloom.
• I also have a lens on Squidoo: How to Write Inspiring Christian Devotions for Blogs and Websites.
• I suppose it goes without saying...I love to write!

I believe in Christ as He is revealed in the Bible, and I believe we each need to make a personal decision to follow Him in order to be with Him in eternity and to enjoy His fullness here on earth.
