Gail

I've been featured on Teagan's Travels.
Hi!  I'm Gail Burton Purath, and I started Bible Love Notes because my friend and sister, Vivian Burton Teumer, suggested I write devotions that were quick-reads and have them sent directly to people's email in-boxes.  I felt God's leading as well, and Bible Love Notes was born July 1, 2011.

Am I writing because I know it all?
No! I'm writing because I want to grow as a lover of Jesus and become more like Him.

I've been a Christian for 36 years, and I don't know what I'd have done without Christ in my life all these years.  But I'm still a sinner, a learner, a student who falls down and disappoints God at times. In fact, writing Bible Love Notes helped me recover from a "crisis of faith."
I need to be challenged, encouraged, corrected and comforted, and I think you do as well...so let's learn together about the love of God--a love that is so vast that we will always be discovering new and wonderful things about it.

Some Personal stuff:
I believe in Christ as He is revealed in the Bible, and I believe we each need to make a personal decision to follow Him in order to be with Him in eternity and to enjoy His fullness here on earth.

If you would like to grow with me and ponder God's love notes each day with me, please become a subscriber by entering your email address in the FEEDBURNER subscribe box on the right sidebar.

If I haven't already bored you enough, here's some kind recommendations from fellow bloggers:

Some of my devotions are regularly re-published on Rubies Like Ruth, a site for young women.

  1. Hi Gail, you left a message on my blog a while back, then I got busy with moving and the holidays and failed to reply. (sorry!) It was about moving from blogger to wordpress. I was going to reply to your comment and then thought you may not get the message. Feel free to email me if you still have questions about the process. Shawntele{at}ramblingwithgrace.com

    1. So glad you stopped by. It's interesting that God has made my main focus blogging at this stage of my life. It doesn't take the place of sharing with someone in person, but it's made my scope of ministry larger than any other time in my life. God bless you as you minister on your blog too.

  13. Hey Gail! I love your blog. I have a strange question. How did you get the "Check out these blogs" on your sidebar. I use inlinkz but I'm so new to it I don't understand how it all works yet. I like the way all of the buttons fit perfectly in rows like yours. Can you share with me how you did it? I use wordpress for my blog.

I am trying yo figure out how to copy and paste your button on my blog. Isn't that pitiful, that I can't do that? I'll get it, though. So much more to learn. Keep on blessing us! May you be blessed! 16. Hi Gail, I found you via the link up at Jen A's site--Unite! (I read your tips above and I'm not supposed to tell you that. Or was it on the how to be nice to other bloggers page?)
Anyway--your post about kindness via the internet is most welcome. You obviously are walking in the calling God has given you.
We have much in common--I look forward to visiting back soon.
