During the celebration of Christ's birth, ponder these truths. And I encourage you to read the devotions linked to each one.
1. Believe in the miracle of Christ.
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
See Prophetic Whispers.
2. Believe in Christ's purpose for coming.
“God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
3. Believe in Christ's purposes in your life.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
See Born for Such a Time as This.
4. Believe in Christ's comfort.
See When You Sink into Despair.
5. Believe in Christ's joy.
See We Need it: Joy.
6. Believe in earnestly seeking Him!
"Anyone who comes to [Christ] must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6
Faithful and true our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Hallelujah!
ReplyDeleteHe is the light of the World and by His birth we are saved! Happy birthday Jesus our Lord and Saviour!
ReplyDeleteJESUS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR YOU ARE EXCELLENT!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY WE GIVE YOU PRAISE GLORY HALLELUJAH TO OUR GOD!
ReplyDeleteYes John 3 v 16 is very poignant and John 2 v 34 where John testified that Jesus is the 'SON' of God.!! Also take note that December 25th is linked with the Roman festivals Saturnalia and Dies Solis invicti nati. Christmas comes from Cristes maesse. All Pagan!! Jesus couldn't have been born in September. Luke mentions shepherds in the fields at night. This is unlikely in cold December weather as the sheep are brought into shelters to Winter. The people would not have been asked to travel at that time of year and certainly NOT Mary in her condition.!!
ReplyDeleteLesley, I encourage you to read my posts about the false claims that Christmas is pagan. It's sad that so many people are refusing to celebrate the most wonderful birth in the universe because of false claims about how it is pagan.
