God has given us ample reason to believe in Jesus.
Christ fulfilled hundreds of Old Testament prophecies ... beyond what any human mind could orchestrate. And every prophecy was a whisper from God, calling us to believe.
In addition, God foreshadowed Christ's life in the lives of some of the Old Testament saints. Moses was born to deliver God’s people from slavery in Egypt and Christ was born to deliver God’s people from slavery to sin.
Note the foreshadowing of Christ in the life of Moses:
✅ Satan inspired Herod to kill male Jewish babies, hoping to get rid of the Deliverer Jesus (Matthew 2:16).
✅ In Deuteronomy 18:15 Moses promises that one day God will raise up a prophet like him.
✅ In Acts 3:11-26, Peter explains that when Moses said this, he was talking about Jesus.
There are hundreds of these whispers of Jesus sprinkled throughout the Old Testament, preparing our hearts for our Savior and His mission.
Let's rejoice in these whispers and the songs of joy they brought into our lives.
