Let me give you a challenge:
Choose a Bible verse or passage that speaks to your heart.
If you’re anxious, choose a passage like Philippians 4:6-7. If you’re discouraged, a verse like John 16:33. If you’re struggling with doubts, a passage like Proverbs 3:5-6.
Write it down or mark it in your Bible. Each morning thoughtfully recite it, telling the Lord you want it to “dwell” in your heart (Colossians 3:16).
If you like to journal, journal your thoughts about it (8 Reasons to Journal). If you are a creative journaler, draw the verse (Creative Bible Study). Consider memorizing it (Filling Our Minds with Life). Next Monday, choose another passage and do the same thing.
This is such a tiny effort.
If you spend 5-10 minutes on your passage each day, that’s about 1/100th of your waking hours.
A tiny investment with a good return:
💙 God promises that His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:9-11).
💙 It’s alive and able to judge the thoughts and attitudes of our hearts (Hebrews 4:12).
💙 It’s helpful no matter our need: teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training us in righteousness, so we’ll be thoroughly equipped (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Wow!

Bible Love Notes
This year I decided to be intentional in memorizing Scripture, so far I have memorized Psalm 23 and most of Proverbs 3:5-7. I am struggling with the last bit of Proverbs 3:7 (turn away from evil). It's like my mind goes blank!
ReplyDeleteI love your notes. They are always timely and helpful. Thank you for this ministry!
Great goal! Keep up the good work, Jamie!
