Some professing Christians are rejecting portions of Scripture that they claim were “written by men.” They don't trust the apostles and early disciples who walked and talked with Jesus face-to-face. Instead, they trust modern teachers who tell them which parts of Scripture are actually God's Word!!
But there are only two options: we trust all of the Bible or none of it.(1)
If we distrust some of it, then all of it comes into question, from the Ten Commandments to the plan of salvation. Even the words of Christ were recorded by men.
Those of us who trust the Bible believe all of it because:
"All Scripture is God-breathed" (2 Timothy 3:16).
"The word of God is alive and active” (Hebrews 4:12).
We accept it “not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God" which is at work in us if we believe it (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
Above all, we “understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:20-21).
Who are you going to trust?

(1) No translation is as perfect as the original-language manuscripts, and we may find some translations better than others. But the basic truths of Scripture are accurately transmitted through all legitimate translations. We may quibble over specific words, but the doctrine is the same in the KJV, ESV, NIV, NASB, etc.
