Seek God Wholeheartedly

Psalm 119 tells us to wholeheartedly seek God. But do we really understand what this means? #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

"God has called us to live holy lives" (1 Thessalonians 4:7), and one way we do that is to seek God wholeheartedly (Psalm 119:10).

The Bible uses the word heart to describe the core and focus of our being - what "makes us tick."

Only as we seek God wholeheartedly can we know Him and function in His strength and wisdom.

We love to recite Jeremiah 29:11 that says God has good plans for us, but more important is the promise two verses later: "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

Imagine that...the God of the universe promises to reveal Himself to individuals who seek Him fully, seriously, deliberately.

Hebrews 11:6 adds an additional promise: God "rewards those who earnestly seek him."

The rewards are rich: not only does God help us make right choices, he offers us sweet fellowship!
