The world's definitions of love, sex, and truth are not God's definitions. And the divide between God's definitions and the world's is widening.
Sadly, some professing Christians are "changing sides"—accepting what the world says instead of what God says. There have always been disingenuous Christians, but some sincere believers are also being taken in from lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
Dear believers, more than ever before, we must get our values from Scripture, not opinion polls, friends, or media.
And having God's truth, we must speak it in love when God gives us appropriate opportunities.(1)
It’s a “hate crime” to remain silent when people’s souls are at stake.
(1) Some people share God’s commands in arrogance, anger, and hate. This is wrong. But being ashamed of God's commands is also wrong.
(2) The Greek word used in this passage for "sexual immorality" means any sex outside of marriage, so it would include lifestyles characterized by premarital or extramarital sex. Beware: "gay revisionists" have twisted this passage to explain away the serious warning it contains. Read more about this in Don't Overlook Verse 11 so you can respond biblically to such claims. At the bottom of that article, you will find additional articles addressing other elements of gay revisionist theology. It's important that Christians be informed so we can lovingly, logically, and biblically refute claims that homosexuality is approved by God.
Bible Love Notes
"Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-11(2)
So let's "speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ" (Ephesians 4:15).
