Worth the Wait!!

Greetings from Bible Love Notes, Ministry Director Michael and author Gail.

After 22 years of military life and 30 years of ministry moves, we have finally "settled down" in one city. We think it's our final earthly move but we aren't calling this our "forever home" because we know that awaits us in heaven.

We appreciate all that God has taught us along the way, and we are grateful for the many places in the U.S. and Europe where God sent us. Our last earthly home was a long time coming, but it was "worth the wait."

Amidst the unpacked boxes and challenges of this final move, I've been pondering the wonder of our Lord's coming—the unfolding of His plan and purpose beginning with a hint in Genesis 3:15 and continuing through every book in the Old Testament until His actual coming in the Gospels. See Jesus in the Old Testament and Jesus in Every New Testament Book.

I recently heard a song about Christ's birth called Worth the Wait, and my soul cried out, "Amen!"

Just as we can look back on our 20+ moves and see God's unfolding plan for us as a family and as a couple, we can look back and see God's unfolding story whispered, spoken, and shouted to our world.

May we remember today and every day that Christ's coming was "worth the wait."

Why not take time this week to read through this series of one-minute devotions about Christ's long-prophesied coming:
God Whispers Throughout History

Lots of things in life are worth waiting for, but for Christians this is the #1 top of the list.

  1. What a cute photo of you both! I’d love to know where you ended up moving to. Is it in the states? I sure have been blessed with Bible Love Notes as well as your book..
