The loudest voices in our world today come from people who claim there are no absolute truths.
➤ They say we are mere accidents of evolution.
Scripture calls them scoffers:
“I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth.… They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command” (2 Peter 3:3-5). See also Romans 1:20.
➤ They say we can define gender, sexual behavior, and marriage according to our man-made wisdom.
Scripture explains the arrogance behind such a belief:
“Who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” (Romans 9:20)
➤ They say every woman has the unrestricted right to decide if the child in her womb deserves to live.
Scripture says they are denying God as the giver of life:
“You [God] created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13).
These loud voices trust the unproven theory of evolution but mock Christians because we can't “prove” that God created the world.
They claim to be completely tolerant of others but won’t tolerate anyone who disagrees with them.
They are absolutely sure there are no absolutes.
They clearly prove that “the wisdom of the world is foolishness in God's sight” (1 Corinthians 3:19).
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
