Who Is Truly "On the Wrong Side of History"?

When people claim that Christians are on "the wrong side of history" they are getting their sides confused.

History revolves around Jesus.

Immediately after the Fall of mankind, God began whispering clues of our coming Savior (Genesis 3:15). These prophecies were extremely specific (e.g. Psalm 22), and Christ fulfilled every detail, fully accomplishing our salvation.

Christ's death and resurrection was the pivotal point of human history.

You could say that pre-Christ history prepared mankind for Jesus, helping us understand our need for a Savior. And post-Christ history prepares mankind for heaven or hell through belief or rejection of Jesus.

By divine inspiration, God gave us the Bible which points us to Christ and teaches us how to live.

Now think about this popular statement used to discredit Bible-believing Christians: You're on the wrong side of history.

When people say this, they mean:

We aren't enlightened enough to understand there are more than two genders and we're stupid to think LGBTQI+ lifestyles aren't healthy. They're sure we'll lose the battle to save unborn babies so we might as well give up. In their view, history is going to prove that our biblical beliefs are wrong.

It's true that Bible-believing Christians are on a different side of history than the majority of people in the world, but so is Jesus (Matthew 7:13-14).

And wherever Jesus stands is the right side of history, the right side of truth, and the only side that offers true grace and forgiveness.
