4 Ways to Be More Faithful in Prayer

These 4 tips can help you be more effective to pray for others and for your own family. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Have you ever had someone thank you for praying for something when you aren't sure you really did?

Have you ever stressed the importance of prayer to a new believer but rushed through your own prayers the following day because you let time get the best of you?

I know how incredibly important prayer is, but I admit that I'm not always as faithful as I want to be (Philippians 4:6).

Here's some things that have helped me:

1. Pray when asked.

When someone asks for prayer: I do it immediately. When I get a prayer letter or email from a ministry or missionary, I pray for them even if I don't have time at that moment to read their entire letter.

2. Write it down.

If you want to pray regularly for certain people, situations, or ministries, write those prayer needs in a journal or 3x5 cards and refer to them each day as reminders.

3. Make it a routine.

Try to pray at the same time/same place each day because it creates a habit. (See "Using Self-denial)

4. Use Reminders.

Let daily activities remind you to pray. To better understand this concept, see  "Every time I drink a glass of iced tea".

Are there things you do to be more faithful in prayer?
