“Regardless of your age or genetics, often the first wrinkles that appear on your face are those made by repeated facial expressions.”*
Laughing, smiling, and frowning all produce wrinkles, so as we age, we “choose our faces.” Our wrinkles can tell a story of inner joy and peace or anger and displeasure.
“Laughter is a sunbeam of the soul.” ― Thomas Mann
Despite the modern trend to avoid wrinkles at all costs, I think we should work to make them a reflection of a joyful Jesus heart.
This gives us another reason to remember that "a merry heart is good like a medicine" (Proverbs 17:22).
