God has given us ample reason to believe in Jesus.
Christ fulfilled hundreds of Old Testament prophecies ... beyond what any human mind could orchestrate. And every prophecy was a whisper from God, calling us to believe.
In addition, God foreshadowed Christ's life in the lives of some of the Old Testament saints.
For example:
- Moses was born to deliver God’s people from slavery in Egypt.
- Christ was born to deliver God’s people from slavery to sin.
- Satan inspired Pharaoh to kill male Jewish babies, hoping to get rid of the deliverer Moses.
- Satan inspired Herod to kill male Jewish babies, hoping to get rid of the Deliverer Jesus.
- But God’s plans always prevail: Moses and Jesus fulfilled God’s loving purposes and rescued God's people.
- (Deuteronomy 18:15; Acts 3:22)
Let's rejoice in these whispers and the songs of joy they brought into our lives.
