God-Fearers Are Always Seeking to Know God Better

Do you know what God-Fearers are seeking every week, every day, and every hour? This 1-minute devotion explains.

Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing...

But there are some things that we cannot get enough of, and Jesus is on the top of that list.

The more God-fearers learn about God, the more they want to learn. Seeking God leads to fearing God and fearing God leads to seeking more of God.

Proverbs 2:1-5: "My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God."

Like the psalmists, God-fearers cry out, "Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name." Psalm 86:11

Are you seeking to know the Lord better? What one thing can you add to your schedule this week to help you do that?

What is the fear of the Lord? It's a positive type of fear—a reverence, respect, and honor that God alone deserves. When we realize that we can't fully grasp “how wide and long and high and deep” God's love is, we cannot help but develop this healthy fear (Ephesians 3:16-19).
