I'm praising God that the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the decision that forced states to approve abortions for women "at any time, for any reason, in any way they choose” (source). Now states will be free to create their own limitations on abortion, and citizens will again be given a voice.
Satan loves to "steal and kill and destroy" (John 10:10). And one way he does this is to scare people into believing lies and making ungodly decisions.
It's his main tactic in pro-abortion propaganda.(1)
For example, “If we restrict abortion, many women will die from back-alley abortions.”
Here's the truth:(2)
Because
“back-alley” abortions before 1973 were illegal and unreported, no one knows how many resulted in death, but that hasn't stopped abortion advocates from passing along ridiculously inflated statistics.
It's simply a scare tactic because thirteen years before Roe v. Wade, the director of Planned Parenthood stated that most illegal abortions were safe.(2)
Pro-abortion rhetoric is built on lies with the foundational lie being this: unborn children aren't human. This lie contradicts science, reason, and human rights.
Pro-life claims are also scary, but they're true and verifiable:
✔ 63 million babies lost their lives through legal, reported abortions since 1973.
✔ Between 1973 and 2018, 521 women died from legal abortions.(3)
✔ Millions of parents would have adopted these children had they lived.
✔ Millions of women are suffering from post abortion syndrome because they were persuaded to get abortions they later regretted.
Dear Christians, this should be our mission statement regarding abortion:
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.” Proverbs 31:8-9

Footnotes:
(1) Additional lies in pro-abortion propaganda:
Abortion advocates are pro-choice.
There's nothing “pro-choice” about pro-abortion groups. Abortion advocates have repeatedly opposed any legislation that gives a woman full knowledge of her condition so she can make an informed choice without regrets (source). They want women to receive less information that is required for all other medical procedures because they know that fully understanding her situation might make a woman reconsider having an abortion. Manipulative Ideologies further explains this anti-choice attitude.
Abortion advocates care about women.
Not really. Pro-life groups are actively involved in helping women with problem pregnancies, providing housing, food, clothing, and expenses so they can give their babies life. Pro-abortion groups are only interested in helping women get abortions.
In addition, most pro-abortion advocates dismiss or downplay Post Abortion Syndrome which has serious long term effects on many women. If they genuinely cared about women, they would want women to understand this problem before they get abortions.
Furthermore, they are only interested in born women. They've promoted the killing of approximately 32 million unborn women since 1973.
Abortion advocates share facts.
No. Beware of anything you hear from abortion advocates. They carefully avoid the facts by changing their language, never admitting that abortion kills an innocent child. And a few of them (like Bernard Nathanson)* create false rumors to scare people. For example, I recently heard this claim: “If we restrict abortions, women who have miscarriages will not have access to the drugs they need since some of those drugs are also used in abortions.”
Scary, ridiculous, and completely false.(2) Exposing pro-abortion lies:
In 1960, thirteen years before Roe v. Wade, the director of Planned Parenthood said “abortion is no longer a dangerous procedure…90% of all illegal abortions are presently being done by physicians.” Bernard Nathanson,* an abortion doctor who changed his stand and became pro-life admits that he regularly passed along “totally false” statistics about deaths from illegal abortions when he was still doing them. See these things explained in "Women will die from Illegal Abortions," a video done by a woman doctor who did abortions before changing her views.
(3) This figure is cited from the CDC (source). You might think that's no big deal since it's only ten women a year, but those 521 women had an unnecessary procedure that cost their lives. I doubt any of them would have chosen to have the abortion knowing what it would cost them.
I encourage you to check out this site that features short, concise video responses to pro-abortion propaganda: Pro-Life Replies. I found this video especially touching because it was done by a woman whose mother had been raped: How to Reply to: "Abortion In Cases of Rape."
