Finite Wisdom or Infinite Wisdom? The Choice That Determines Your Life.

Do you really understand the choices you make each day? Do you understand the difference between faith and sight, between infinite and finite wisdom?

Because Christians have faith, we believe in things we haven’t seen and don’t understand:

“Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

Because we have faith, we believe in our Creator:

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews 11:3

Because we have faith, we don't trust our finite minds. We trust God's infinite wisdom:

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” The Lord, Isaiah 55:9

Christians are grateful that we serve a God who is greater and wiser than we are, especially because He is also perfect, loving, gracious, glorious, and forgiving (Psalm 103). We are grateful that we have not limited ourselves to imperfect human thinking.

Because we have faith, we also have access to a peace that is beyond our comprehension:

“The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

We are bombarded with man-made gods and man-made philosophies even though “the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God” (1 Corinthians 3:19).

I'm trusting God's infinite wisdom. Are you?
