Satan's Greatest Fear

Do you want to avoid Satan's schemes to mess up your life? This 1-minute devotion explains your best defense.

Do you know Satan’s greatest fear?

That we will read the Bible regularly, carefully, and wisely.(1)

Why does this inspire such fear in him?

Because we won’t be open to false teachings and half-truths. We won’t be baby Christians with compromised or shallow faith.

If we have God’s Spirit – which all genuine believers do  we can’t read God’s Word and remain weak, sinful, or foolish.

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

It judges our sins and leads us to repentance. And it’s relevant for every area of our lives as Christians. Every area!

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We can’t get by with verses taken out of context or half-truths that distort the meaning of Scripture because we’re lifetime Bible students seeking to better know and serve our Lord day by day.

Do you want to avoid Satan's schemes to mess up your life? This 1-minute devotion explains your best defense.

We take this verse seriously:

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

I love God's Word!

(1) Obviously, I don't know Satan's greatest fear, but this is certainly one of them. 😏
