We can grow in our faith through good reading materials.
Why not turn off the TV and read one of these:
1. Christian biographies.
Reading faith-building stories gives us courage to live faithfully during difficult times (Hebrews 12:1). You might even read them aloud as a family.
Voices from the Great Cloud of Witnesses will encourage you and the Christians Who Inspire Collection will give you ideas of people you might like to read about.
2. The Psalms.
The Book of Psalms is a divinely inspired collection of godly comfort and wisdom for dealing with everyday joys, frustrations, and difficulties. If you read five psalms a day you'll read them all in a month. Or take it slow and ponder a single psalm each day.

3. Things that make you laugh.
Good, clean humor is medicine to our souls.
