Telling God What's Best for Us

Many people are trusting modern Bible teachers, friends, and family to define appropriate morals. This 1-minute devotion explains that there is only one fully reliable source. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible #Devotions

It’s a great irony that we think we can tell our Creator what’s good for us.

But it’s happening more and more.

People claim they can accept God as Creator and Lord, but they reject the Bible’s teachings on sexual purity, marriage, gender roles, humility, hell, etc.

People seem to think that we have "evolved" to a higher, more humane, more intelligent way of thinking when we're actually just repeating attitudes that destroyed lives and nations in the past. See Sexual History.

We're just plain stupid to think we can love God while ignoring and redefining His principles and commands.

“For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8

God genuinely loves us. His laws forbid behaviors that damage our hearts and souls.

He knows what's best for us
We aren't His peers and our opinions don't change His truth.
