There are lots of causes for loneliness. It's a human emotion we need to learn to deal with constructively.
Even if we're not lonely, the suggestions below can help us make good use of our schedule by focusing on God and others.
Some ideas:
1. Call, email, text, or write someone every day, especially someone who is lonely or elderly.(1)
2. Set your alarm and pray every hour for a different need, especially for friends or relatives who have are sick or lonely.
See Set Your Mind or Set Your Alarm.
3. Journal an alphabetical prayer.
See Alphabetical Prayer.
4. Memorize Romans 8:35-38 to remind yourself that you’re never truly alone.
See God is Never on Vacation.
5. Do a word study on God’s love.
See Fun Word Study.
6. Try your hand at creative Bible journaling.
See Creative Bible Study.
7. Read more 1-Minute Bible Love Notes and recommend them to others. 😀 You can pull up the Bible Love Notes pictorial archive that features more than 60 different categories of devotions. There’s an archive devoted to Encouragement, and even one devoted to Help During the Corona Virus.
Use your free time in positive, biblical ways!
I also recommend you read Beatin’ the Blues to help you refocus during lonely times.
Thank you! Stay well.
