Satan isn’t God’s opposite. God’s goodness is far greater than Satan’s evil. God's wisdom, knowledge, and power are far greater than Satan's.
That’s one reason Satan is often repetitive and un-creative.
In Luke 4:1-13, Satan tempted Jesus with food, fame, fortune, and power.
This is remarkably similar to his temptation of Eve in the Garden when he temped Eve with the forbidden fruit, a chance to be like God, and a chance to know what God knows.
1 John 2:15-17 says, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
Expect Satan to attack you in similar areas, prepare your mind for action, and stand firm! (1 Peter 1:13)
