Give Me Truth!

If we want to be admired and respected by our culture and live at peace with everyone no matter what they do or believe, we must deny Scripture.

Why? Because the message of the cross is foolish to unbelievers (1 Corinthians 1:18). In fact, Scripture says our salvation makes us give off an "aroma of death" around them (2 Corinthians 2:15-16). 

Jesus warns us: "If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. ... If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels" (Luke 9:24-26).

A sober warning. Let's heed it.

  2. Amen! Sober warnings indeed but worth heeding. My prayer for me, my family and Christians everywhere is that we would choose the Truth rather than lies, choose to please God rather than men, choose this day and every day to serve God in the power of the Holy Spirit. Blessings!

  3. too often we want to leave out the hard verses like Luke 12:49-53 Not Peace but Division
    49 “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! 51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”
