Zephaniah 3:17 = God Enjoys Us!!

Zephaniah 3:17 says the most wonderful thing about our relationship with God. this 1-minute devotion will make you feel deeply loved.

When my oldest granddaughter was a baby, I learned a wonderful lesson about God’s love.

Six-week-old Emma had never said anything clever nor done anything noble or good. She required constant care and gave nothing tangible in return. But whenever I held her, I was overcome with love and enjoyment for her.

Zephaniah 3:17 says that God “will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (NLT)

Sometimes it's hard for me to understand how God can enjoy me. He sees all of my sins, failures, and weaknesses.

Then I think about how much I enjoyed my children and grandchildren even before they offered anything in return, and I realize that's how God loves me.

Take that thought with you today—you're His beloved child, and He enjoys you!

  3. God rejoices over me. Rejoice means quiet contemplation or to jump up and spin around. To know that when I do something special that He jumps up and spins around saying that's my girl. And when I am going through my day good or bad I stop and listen as He sings songs of Love, Peace, Joy,Comfort, and that I am sleeping He is singing lullabies over me. God is so good to me always.

  4. I've never considered God's love from this perspective, but when I do it makes my own heart sing with joy! I remember feeling that joy and love when my daughters were infants and beyond, as well as my grandsons. To know that God sees me that way and cherishes me and sings over me fills me with every precious feeling!
