4 Tips for Keeping New Year's Resolutions

4 reasons people don't keep their New Year's Resolutions. 4 Ways to Beat the Odds! #BibleLoveNote #Bible #Devotions

According to a university study, most people (92%) don't follow through on their New Year's Resolutions.

The study cites these reasons:
  • Setting goals too high
  • Making goals too general
  • Lacking accountability
  • Lacking confidence to succeed
Want to beat the odds and resolve to know Christ better this year?
  • Be Realistic: If you don't have a quiet time, don't resolve to spend an hour daily. Commit to fifteen minutes two days a week or five minutes daily. You can always do more.
  • Be Specific: Use a Bible reading plan and make up a prayer list. Or read your Bible Love Note and look up the verse(s) it references.
  • Be Accountable: Ask someone to check your progress.
  • Be Confident in God's Help: You can't do it on your own.
Remember, we  can "do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us" (Ephesians 3:20).
