Frederic Luskin, author of “Forgive for Good”
I read a secular article about the power of forgiveness with both awe and satisfaction.
I read it with awe because the situations were truly difficult:
- parents forgiving a careless hit-and-run driver who killed their two daughters
- people who lost loved ones in 9/11 forgiving the perpetrators
- "Forgiveness can protect physical health by reducing stress and rumination."
- "...not blaming and not hating reduces suffering. With forgiveness, one of the levels of torment is reduced.”
"Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing." 1 Peter 3:9
