Hard Things

This Old Testament examples gives us the strength and inspiration to do the hard things Christ asks of us. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Political campaigns are good reminders of human vulnerability.

It’s a rare person who doesn’t have a skeleton or two in their closet.

That’s why it’s amazing that the Babylonian “politicians” who tried to discredit Daniel, couldn’t do it. They concluded they’d have to put Daniel in a position that would make him violate his faith (Daniel 6:1-5). Otherwise, he’d never do anything "wrong."

Daniel was taken captive while still young. It's likely that he was made a eunuch (that was the custom in such situations). And he  was forced to serve a pagan king. He was surrounded by ungodly influences, pagan gods, and immoral foreigners.

If anyone had reason to excuse himself from serving God wholeheartedly, it was Daniel.

But, amazingly, he stood his ground and never wavered in doing the hard things for God.

Are you facing a hard thing? Are you tempted to compromise? Remember Daniel.

God gave Daniel the strength to stand firm, and He will give it to you as well (Philippians 4:13, Ephesians 3:16, 2 Corinthians 12:9).
