I have quite a bit of insight because I was an Army wife for 22 years while my husband served.
We were stationed in Germany when the wall was still up, and my husband's tank company had a position they guarded on the border between East and West Germany.
As Christians, we have an enemy named Satan and we need to be alert to His tactics.
My soldier husband worked long hours without complaining.
As Christians, we need to be willing to go the extra mile when God calls us to do that.
When my husband had field training or alerts, it didn't matter if it was a holiday or a birthday, he had to go.
As Christians, we also need to make God our priority - Jesus first even when it's inconvenient or difficult.
