Have you ever met someone who felt they knew all they needed to know about the Lord?
From my experience, people who diligently seek God daily in prayer and Bible study are usually the first to admit that they have more to learn. That's because the more we know about the Lord, the more we realize the vastness of His wisdom and love (Ephesians 3:14-21).
Contentment is usually a good thing, but we should never be fully satisfied with our knowledge of our Lord and His Word … until we see Him face-to-face (1 Corinthians 13:12).
We can take our cues from one of the best examples in Christian history, the apostle Paul who wrote these words:
“I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.… I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Philippians 3:8-12

The more we know Jesus, the more we will want to know Him. So let's pray for Paul's fervor and diligence in this area.
