The world God created for us is amazing and it reveals His glory. He's brilliant beyond words, and He has filled our environment with mystery, beauty, complexity, simplicity, and enjoyment.
"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Romans 1:20
He is the God who supernaturally created the world in six days, parted the Red Sea, and gave Jonah a ride in the belly of a big fish.
But his greatest miracle is our redemption—the miracle of God humbling Himself to come to earth and die for our sins.
Christ Jesus, "Who, being in very nature God…made himself nothing.… He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!" Philippians 2:6-8
We'll never fully understand God's wonderful creation, but it's nothing compared to His wonderful redeeming love for us! (Ephesians 3:14-19)

I remember as a young girl in school trying to understand the "evolution tree" and thinking that I must not be smart enough to get it. As a young adult, when I became a Christian and learned that some people believed that God created the earth in six days, I was excited! It made so much more sense that all powerful God made it all. It's easier for me to believe than not.
ReplyDeleteI think it takes a lot more faith to believe in evolution and the Big Bang than in the God who created everything in 6 days. I just can't understand how people can say there is no God when all you have to do is look around and see proof of his work.
