Jesus Feels Our Pain

Jesus holds a unique position in comforting us. This 1-minute devotion explains. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

When we go through something difficult, it's helpful to talk to others who've experienced the same problems.

They are more likely to understand how we're feeling because they know exactly what we're facing. Their advice and suggestions have more credibility (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

That’s one reason Jesus became a human being. God knows all things, but He went a step further to identify with us.

He came to earth as one of us. He fully understands our trials and temptations and is able to help us through anything and everything we face.

He was tempted, rejected, slandered, hated, and He suffered physically.

Jesus became "fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people" (Hebrews 2:14-18).

Jesus is not only able to heal our pain, He's able to feel our pain.

  1. That's so true, Gail! Unless you're "been there," you don't truly understand what others are going through.
    Great point.

  2. Thanks for sharing this Gail. I am experiencing some "storms" in my life and all I can say is that it will help me to better identify with people going through the same thing. Great devotional.

  4. This was right on time for me. It was comforting to be reminded that Jesus has already walked this road before us. How often we tend to forget that when our hearts are overwhelmed. No one understands quite like He does. Thanks so much for these devotional emails. Always a bright spot in my day.
