Hard Things

Bible, Daniel, Lion's Den
Presidential Campaigns are good reminders of human vulnerability.

It’s a rare person who doesn’t have a skeleton or two in their closet.

That’s why it’s amazing that the Babylonian “politicians” who tried to discredit Daniel, couldn’t do it. They concluded they’d have to put Daniel in a position that would make him violate his faith (Daniel 6:1-5). Otherwise, he’d never do anything wrong.

Daniel was taken captive while still young, probably made a eunuch (that was the custom in such situations), and forced to serve a pagan king. He was surrounded by ungodly influences, pagan gods, and immoral lifestyles. If anyone had reason to excuse himself from serving God whole-heartedly, it was Daniel.

But, amazingly, he stood his ground and never wavered in doing the hard things for God.

Are you facing a hard thing? Are you tempted to compromise? Remember Daniel. God gave Daniel the strength to stand firm, and He will give it to you as well.

  1. Thank you so much for linking up again over at WholeHearted Home this week. This is such a wonderful reminder not to compromise when the going gets tough!!

  2. I think we need some more "Daniels" in politics today!

  3. Hiya! Let me first tell that you actually have made a beautiful portal. And I have a question for you. Have you ever taken place in some sort of blogging competitions?
