Attitude..."it will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day…life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.” ~ Chuck Swindoll
Swindoll says attitude is more important than education, money, circumstances, failures, successes, appearance, giftedness, or skill.
We can flip hopelessness into hopefulness because God promises to work bad things for our good (Romans 8:28).
We can flip self-pity into gratefulness because no matter what else is happening in our lives, we still have the blessings of Jesus (Philippians 4:8; Ephesians 1:3).
We can flip discontent into contentment because we have Christ's strength to get us through any circumstance (Philippians 2:12-13).
I need to remind myself of these truths daily so I don’t slip into pessimism, self-pity, or discouragement.
Today I’m committing to have a good attitude no matter what comes my way because God promises I can flip a bad attitude into a good one if I trust Him (Proverbs 3:5-6). Will you join me in this commitment?
