Before age 12, I moved 21 times because of my father’s job.
At age 19 (42 years ago today 9/5/70), I married my best friend and together we've moved another 21 places within the U.S. and Europe.
That means I’ve averaged a different home every 1 1/2 years for my 61 years of life.
I understand what it means to be “an alien and stranger."
Scripture describes Christians as “aliens and strangers” (1 Peter 2:11; Hebrews 11:13-16 ) because we have an eternal point of view...we know we’re just passing through this world on our way to the next...we know we’ll never be completely satisfied or “at home” here.
Today I'm praising God for my husband of 42 years who has added joy and meaning to my journey here in earth. And I'm praising my God who has been my constant and unchanging "home."
“Lord, through all the generations you have been our home!” Psalm 90:1, NLT
