Maintaining Our Convictions in the Face of Growing Persecution

We're facing increasing persecution in the Western World. This short devotion encourages us to stand firm.

In the last ten to twenty years, Bible-believing Christians have faced increasing persecution.

We're frequently called hateful,” not because of something we've done but because we believe the Bible's definition of sin, not the world's.

Very often, those calling us “hateful” are the ones behaving hatefully, making exaggerated claims, calling us rude names, and cutting off contact with former friends and loving family members.

Dear Bible-believing Christians, even if we are not living in a country where we are being imprisoned or killed for our faith, we are definitely suffering persecution, and we must learn to stand firm.

It's hard to be rejected for our faith, but that's what Christ calls us to do as His children (John 15:18-25).

So let's remain faithful, contending for our faith (Jude 3), answering questions with grace and truth (1 Peter 3:15), and never being ashamed of God's truths, even those truths that are unpopular with the world.

Let's agree with Paul's statement in Romans 1:16: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
