3 Things to Remember When We Feel God Has Let Us Down

Proverbs 19:3 describes a person who addresses problems in a popular but Destructive Way. Christians avoid this attitude by remembering these 3 truths

Unbelievers and atheists tend to blame God for bad things, even though they claim they don't believe in Him.

And more often than not, they are blaming God for something they brought upon themselves.

Proverbs 19:3 describes this attitude: “A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the LORD.”

We expect these attitudes from non-Christians, but we Christians can be guilty of them as well.

I must admit there have been times when a loved one made a bad choice and I felt God had let me down.

And there are times when I think God should make my life easier.

When this happens, I remind myself of these truths:

1. We live in a fallen world corrupted by sin, and no matter how faithfully we serve God, we are going to face difficulties (John 16:33). In fact, sometimes God’s most faithful servants are those who suffer most (Hebrews 11).

2. God gives us and our loved ones the choice to obey or disobey Him. If they/we disobey, there will be consequences (Galatians 6:7-8).

3. No matter what happens to us, we can rest assured that God is 100% good (Psalm 107:1)!

Do you believe that?
