Contradictory Lies, a Necessary and Frequent Tool of Propaganda

Impassioned Lies are a necessary ingredient in Propaganda. This devotion offers examples.

You can also listen to Gail talk about this subject on video here.

At the beginning of the pro-abortion battle, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, head of one of the largest abortion clinics in New York City, admits that he and others “cynically fabricated and exaggerated statistics about the number of abortions and the number of deaths from illegal abortions” in order to promote abortion (source).

The pro-abortion movement depends heavily on propaganda, refusing to use honest descriptions like “baby” and defining unnecessary abortions as “reproductive health care” (Proverbs 14:5).

In addition, even though pro-abortion groups consistently and unashamedly speak out against any restrictions on abortion, one of their leaders recently claimed it's “mischaracterization” to say pro-abortion groups believe in abortion up to the day of delivery (source).

But this woman and other pro-abortion leaders voted overwhelmingly against a law requiring doctors to feed and provide medical care for babies born alive during botched abortions (source).*

You can't vote against such a law and then claim you don't believe in abortion up to the day of delivery. Nor can you claim to have any respect for unborn children if you're against helping those struggling for life after a botched abortion.

Pro-abortion leaders and lawmakers are against any and every restriction on abortion. And every American who votes for these leaders is voting for abortion up to the day of delivery whether they believe in it or not (Proverbs 24:11-12).

And that breaks my heart.

Note: The “born alive” law barely passed. But in keeping with the false rhetoric of pro-abortion propaganda, this particular pro-abortion leader, who is also the U.S. Vice-President, said this law “will further jeopardize the right to reproductive health care in our country,” and she claimed it was simply another attempt by pro-life lawmakers to “control women's bodies” (source).*

So please listen carefully to the message behind this pro-abortion propaganda and you will see why pro-abortion advocates disguise their true beliefs: She believes it's part of “reproductive health care” for women to wait to get an abortion until their babies are fully viable outside the womb and fully able to feel the pain inflicted by the abortionist who tries to kill them. And she believes the law requiring the abortion doctor to help babies struggling for life is simply an attempt to “control women's bodies.”

Please make sure that you are informed about God's views of abortion by reading the one-minute devotions in the collection The Value God Places on Human Life. I especially recommend The judge Stands Before the Judge and Satan's Tactic: Use Lies to Scare People.
