Have you ever tried taking an exam without studying? It's not a good idea.
We study for tests, follow recipes, check directions, look for road signs, and read guidebooks for a reason. Similarly, we expect our doctors, teachers, plumbers, etc. to be well trained. Responsible people take instruction seriously because they want to do things wisely, safely, and effectively.
Sadly, many Christians think they can mature in Christ without becoming increasingly familiar with God’s Word (1 Corinthians 3:1-2). (source)
I hope you are taking the time to click the links and read the Bible verses in each Bible Love Note as well as reading any verses shared below the devotions. Those words are alive, powerful, and perfect because they are God's, not mine (Psalm 12:6; Hebrews 4:12). Those words accomplish God's purposes, impacting our thoughts, actions, and motives (Isaiah 55:10-11).
Difficult times are ahead for believers, and we don’t want to face this testing without preparation any more than we want to take a test without studying or go to a doctor who isn’t trained.
Without Bible knowledge, we are easily deceived by those who preach an “updated” Christianity that contradicts Scripture. That's why Satan loves distracting believers from regular, dedicated time in God’s Word (1 Peter 5:8-9).
I urge you to consider how you might add more of God's Word to your schedule.

Q&S (Questions and Scriptures):
1. Are you prepared to recognize and reject false views of Jesus?
2 Corinthians 11:3-4: "But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough."
1 Peter 1:13: "So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all
your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus
Christ is revealed to the world."
See That's Not Jesus.
2. Are you doing your best to correctly understand God's Word?
2 Timothy 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."
For a fuller meaning of this passage and to gain insight into Paul's background, read the 1-minute devotion Carefully Stitching Scriptures Together.
3. Do you understand the incredible importance of God’s Word in your life?
Psalm 19:7: "The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple."
Psalm 119:105: "Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path."
