The Ridiculous Plan to Deny Christ's Resurrection

Lies That Leads to Hell - Ridiculous Attempts to Deny Truth

I’m always surprised that people who reject God feel they're more intelligent than those who follow Him.

Romans 1:20 says they're rejecting truth that is staring them in the face.

"Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."

The story of Christ’s resurrection confirms this truth.

In Matthew 27:62-66, the religious leaders decided to prevent false rumors about Christ’s resurrection by posting guards at the tomb. In fact, Pilate told them to "make the tomb as secure as you know how." They did their best, but it backfired when the Roman soldiers witnessed Christ's resurrection.

The truth stared them in the face when they heard the soldiers' story about the earthquake and the angel, but they bribed the soldiers to tell a lie (Matthew 28:11-15).(1)

Let's take time today to pray for those who still prefer the lie. May they quit denying the undeniable evidence of Christ's coming, death, and resurrection.
(1) I always find the soldiers' lie amusing:  They claim they were so fully asleep that they didn’t see the robbery, yet they knew exactly what happened and who did it!
