Crushing Satan's Head

In Genesis 3 God gave mankind a clue about our deliverance and about our greatest enemy. This 1-minute devotion explains. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible #Biblestudy

As soon as mankind sinned against our loving God, God began revealing his plan to save us. His first clue is Genesis 3:15:

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Theologians call this Protevangelium - a prophetic clue about Christ's mission.

It tells us that God’s children and Satan’s demons will always be in conflict. Satan will most certainly strike our heels. But one of the offspring of woman – Jesus – will permanently crush the head of Satan (Revelation 20), and through the power of Christ, we also will have victory over Satan.

Romans 16:19-20 warns us to “be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil” and assures us that “the God of peace will soon crush Satan under [our] feet.”

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

  1. AMEN! Hi Gail. I have enjoyed, been blessed, and have learned so much from your posts. You already know that I have a board dedicated to you on Pinterest. I recently started Twitter. I have tried to use your tweet button, but it doesn't seem to work. I follow you on Twitter, but I am not always able to retweet from your page. I want other people to be able to receive from you, just as I have. Keep up the great work. May the Lord richly Bless You as you endeavor to do His Will.

    1. Thank you so much for your encouragement and for sharing Bible Love Notes. I'm sorry about my Twitter button. I have known about it for a little while and I have been so busy that it has been one of those things that got pushed to the back. I pray that I will soon be able to get it corrected. Thanks!

  3. Satan has certainly struck my heels more this season but I will continue to hold on to the promises of God for my life. God is Good when everything else in my life isn't. Thank you Gail for reminding me every day that there is no small struggle that God isn't using for the good of those who love him, and I Love God. Blessings
