Standing Firm and Reaching Out in Love - Matthew 10:22, Matthew 28:18-20

Standing firm against culture, standing for Bible principles
Jesus came to save men from sin.

As His followers, we’re called to stand firm (Matthew 10:22), share Christ, and teach people to obey Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our culture has approved many acts of immorality that damage people’s souls, and there is great pressure for Christians to conform.

If we want to be like Jesus, we will love men enough to tell them the truth about sin - even sins that are approved and celebrated by our culture. It’s hateful, not loving, to do otherwise.

This won’t make us popular, but we can identify with our Lord:

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you”’ John 15:18-19

We can stand firm with Jesus, or bend with the culture.

We can’t do both.

  1. Thank You Gail

In order to live a Christocentric life for God, we must agree that God is always right and we will always be wrong. Unless we are at all times in total agreement with Him and the instructions given to us by God for righteous living. To often the believer is quite passive towards sin or becomes legalistic in the process in telling the good news of Christ. Unfortunately, when this happens, their love walk (1 Corinthians 13:4-11)for those inside and outside the life of Christ goes unseen and unfelt.
