In the last fifty years, our culture has shunned Biblical commands about sexual behavior, and the statistics are staggering:
83% of young unmarried people identifying themselves as Christians have had sex.
This 83% don't understand that God's commands are motivated by His deep love for them.
Adultery statistics are difficult to track, but it's estimated that 30-60% of all married people have had an affair.
Sexual sin damages us, no matter how many people approve it. And our loving Heavenly Father wants to spare us that damage.
God gave His commands for two important reasons: to bless us and protect us.
If you or someone you love is confused about God's sexual standards, pray for them and encourage them to study the only trustworthy source -- the Bible.
"...this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world." 1 John 5:3-4
