When Little Things Are Big Things

Part of David's victory against Goliath began with little things. This 1-minute devotion explains how this applies to us. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

When we know God, He expects us to give attention to the details in our lives. That's because our faithfulness is tested in small things before we are given greater things to do in God's kingdom.

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much." Luke 16:10

Christians who "slay giants" start by slaying smaller enemies to their faith. They learn how to overcome great difficulties by overcoming daily distractions and temptations.

Before David fought Goliath, he'd fought lions and bears as a shepherd. These smaller victories taught David wisdom, perseverance, and trust in God.

The Israeli soldiers were shaking in their boots and King Saul "knew" David couldn't defeat Goliath. But David explained that God had saved him from smaller attacks and He save him from Goliath (1 Samuel17:32-37).

"The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine." 1 Samuel 17:37

David's faith - the faith that killed Goliath - was formed first in the shepherd's field. So let's prepare ourselves for the greater difficulties by faithfully trusting God and obeying His Word in the smaller difficulties of life.
