"Sanctification" is a fancy word for "becoming more like Jesus."
It's a lifelong process that begins when we come to the Lord and continues until we see Him face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12).
Philippians 2:12-13 explains the process this way:
"Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."
"With fear and trembling" means we're deliberate about our sanctification (Romans 8:12-13). It means we quit conforming to the world and renew our minds in God's Word (Romans 12:1-2).
And this is the best part: as we yield ourselves to God, He changes us from the inside out.
What things are you doing to "work out your salvation"?
