Godly Fear is a Good Thing

We must not downplay this important aspect of our faith: Fear of the Lord. This 1-minute devotion offers 3 Aspects of Godly fear. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Regularly I hear Christians downplay God's righteous judgement.

Perhaps they're responding to times past when God's wrath was overemphasized, but we can also under-emphasize it.

These three aspects of God's character should instill godly fear* in us:

1. His Holiness

God is not flawed in any way. He doesn't make mistakes. Everything He does is pure, good and right (Jeremiah 9:23-24).
2. His Authority

No one tells God what to do. Nothing is beyond His jurisdiction.
3. His Wisdom

God is all-knowing and all-wise (Isaiah 40:12-31).

  1. I recently understand what is the fear of God and I am using it in my prayers and my worship and in my whole life. Christians should and must respect our Creator. O what a blessing to fear the Lord.
