My husband loves having bird feeders in our yard. And I’m amazed at the wonderful variety of birds we see: brilliant red cardinals, noisy blue jays, sharp-billed woodpeckers, bright yellow goldfinches, and red-winged blackbirds.
God could have stuck to the basics in creation, but He isn't a minimalist.
That’s one reason evolution is such an indefensible theory. If things happened merely by chance and necessity, the world wouldn’t be so incredibly interesting, beautiful, multifaceted, detailed, and surprising.
Science has identified approximately 11,000 species of birds and almost 400,000 species of plants. Some scientists believe that if every animal was discovered there might be 100 million species! And what about the beauty of the sky and the variety of things we can taste and smell?
Even in its fallen state, our world gives us a glimpse of God's glory that only a fool would reject (Psalm 14:1).
“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Romans 1:20
My husband was gazing out the window the other day and he said, “You should write about the fact that no matter how hard things are for Christians at this point in history, we can always look out the window and see reminders of God’s love and power.”
What a great idea! So look out your window today and rejoice!
