Side Y - Sitting on the Fence, Not Standing on the Rock

We can't sit on the fence when we follow Christ but Side Y Christians are trying to do that.

Please read the introduction to this series:
Which Side Are You On: A, B, X, or Y?

In my research, I found Side Y the hardest to pin down. Their views were vague and each resource described them a bit differently.

They claim to support scriptural views of LGBTQ lifestyles. But they also believe Christians should focus on becoming more like Christ and not seek to make all Christians heterosexual. They claim Paul removed all sexual labels, in Galatians 3:28

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

This is neither scriptural nor logical.

➤ Galatians 3:28 is about the equality of Christians, whether male or female and regardless of their ethnicity or earthly home (Genesis 1:27Acts 17:26-27).

It's not about equality between ungodly and godly lifestyles. If it was, it would read something like this: “There is neither heterosexual, homosexual, murderer, victim, rapist, raped, liar, or honest person, for all are one in Christ Jesus.”

I hope you see how ungodly such a statement would be.

We all have sinful desires, but God frees us from those desires. He doesn’t inspire or excuse them (James 1:13-17). He doesn't create someone a homosexual, nor does He create someone an adulterer.

➤ We can’t focus on becoming more like Christ unless we honestly and biblically address our sins, and LGBTQ lifestyles are sinful.

When we stand on the Rock (Matthew 7:24-27), we can’t sit on the fence, and Side Y Christians are fence-sitters.
