Did You Know There's a Passage in Scripture that Addresses Gay Pride?

There is a passage in Scripture that directly addresses gay pride. This devotion explains.

Since we're praying for LGBTQI+ people this month, it's important that we understand God's views. Romans 1:16-32 explains clearly, without a doubt, that God considers gay pride a mockery of His loving commands.

No wonder Paul begins this important passage by saying, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” No wonder he ties faith to “righteousness” three times in verse 17

Do we understand the importance of righteousness? Or are we ashamed of God's commands against homosexual sins?

Next, he explains God's wrath, His righteous judgment, without which He would not be a holy God.

Verses 19-20 explain that people commit these sins intentionally despite the evidence of God in His creation. They're “without excuse.”

“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” verses 26-27

And they take pride in their sins:

Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. verse 32

The wicked “freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.” Psalm 12:7-8

Dear Christians, we must see sin as God sees it.
