Psalm 119:89-91 contains three verses we all should know—short but powerful.
"Your Word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens."
The Bible is eternal truth. It endures through every age in history. It teaches us every principle we need to live godly lives (2 Peter 1:3).
"Your faithfulness continues through all generations."
Cultures and moral values change constantly. God’s commands and principles never change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
"You established the earth and it endures."
God’s design in creation stands firm no matter how many “authorities” claim to know more than God about our human origins, needs, and design (1 Corinthians 3:19).
"Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you."
We can redefine, reinterpret, make exceptions, and disobey; but God’s laws and principles endure. God does not follow us. We follow Him (Romans 9:20).
